1. A jewel heist straight from the movies. On Sunday October 19th, a heist that shocked the world occurred. Four thieves stole over $102 million worth of jewels in under seven minutes. This brazen heist shocked the world. People took to Tik Tok and social media posting fun content poking fun at the heist or expressing their shock on just how unsecure the Louvre was. While most heists we see in movies happen late at night and with high tech tools this heist happened at 9:30 on a Sunday morning using a truck with an extendable ladder. 2. Wounded Jaguar rescued from Brazil's Rio Negro by authorities. On October 1st, a jaguar was spotted by Amazonas Military Police officials, struggling to float down the Rio negro river. The officers placed a makeshift flotation device in the water against their boat for the Jaguar to rest on instead of treading water. The Jaguar gripped onto the device and allowed the officers to pull it to safety. The big cat was taken to a vet who later confirmed the jaguar had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and several broken teeth. People
3. Texas couple accused of burying autistic son in backyard. On October 14 Burleson, Texas, police was called the home of December and Jonathan Mitchell to conduct a welfare check. The Police were contacted by a friend of Decembers after she saw a Facebook post stating that their son, Jonathan Kinman, was deceased. Kinman's mother told police that Kinman had been taken to the Huguley Hospital and pronounced dead there. When the police followed up, they found that the information was not correct. 4.New movie theater coming to Little Rock. Have you ever gone back and forth between bowling or going to the movies? You can only pick one... and it's hard to pick. Well opening November 13th, 2025 is a movie theater that is also a bowling alley called Film Alley. The theater includes a "full kitchen for in-theater dining, a restaurant concept called the 5S Rock Bar and Grill with 24 beers on tap, party rooms, a duckpin bowling alley and a 5,000-square- foot arcade." 5. Wicked Witch of the West in 'The Wizard of Oz' is up for auction. The chance to own a piece of cinematic history is very rare. However, fans will be getting the chance to own a the Wicked Witch of the Wests hat. Heritage auctions are also putting items such as two versions of Dorothy's ruby slippers and a "The Wizard of Oz" book signed by Judy Garland as well as other cast members. Yahoo Entertainment
6. Dallas Cowboys player dies from suspected suicide. Defensive end Marshawn Kneeland was found dead from suspected self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Around 10:30 the night before Kneeland died a vehicle in Frisco, Texas was being chase by troopers and Frisco Police Department was called in to assist. The troopers found the vehicle a few minutes later crashed on Southbound Dallas Parkway. It was later determined the Kneeland had been driving the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. 7. Bradley county considering taxes for new jail and sheriff's office. On Tuesday, November 18th, Bradley County voters will determine if the county moves forward with constructing a new jail and sheriff's office complex. To do this the voters will have to approve two proposed countywide sales taxes. If the proposed taxes are passed, then a 19,000 square foot facility that can hold around 80 inmates. The complex will also house the Bradley County Sheriff's office and a county-run 911 call center. Magnolia Reporter
8. Hundreds of bagpipers filled Melbourne's Federation Square to break world record. Hundreds of bagpipers belted out AC/DC's classic "It's a Long Way to the Top" in Melbourne's Federation Square. "The Great Melbourne Bagpipe Bash" was held on the same street as AC/DCs film where the band played "It's a Long Way to the Top" on the back of a flatbed truck traveling through downtown traffic. The band was scheduled to play just a few minutes away at Melbourne Cricket Ground later that night. The Australian Book of Records certified that "the Great Melbourne Bagpipe Bash" had broken the record set in 2012 by 333 pipers in Bulgaria. Associated press News
9. California teen lucky to be alive after dirt bike crash ends in explosion. As two teens raced down North Main Street in Salinas, California on full-size dirt bikes one ran a red light and crashed into a turning car. The video of the teens crash has since went viral due to the explosion that quickly followed the crash. The teen is seen running away from the crash on fire in the video and his friend coming to help put the flames out. Authorities say that the teen only sustained a few minor burns and a broken ankle. 10. World Without Exploitation releases video urging for the release of all Epstein files. On Sunday, November 16th the anti-trafficking group World Without Exploitation released a video with several of the women who are Epstein survivors. The women hold pictures of their younger selves and tell how old they were when the meet Jeffery Epstein. At the end of the video there is a line of text that states " Five administrations and we're still in the dark". This comes as the house of Congress is set to vote on the issue this week and whether or not to release the files. ABC News
11. Fan who approached Grande at the 'Wicked: For Good' premiere in Singapore has been sentenced to jail. The red-carpet attendee who ran up to Ariana Grande during the premiere in Singapore has been sentenced to nine days in jail. The attendee pleaded guilty to public nuisance charges. During the sentencing District Judge Christopher Goh called Wen "attention-seeking" and said he " showed a pattern of behavior, which suggests that you will do it again," alluring to his history of recording himself disrupting events. 12. 25 girls abducted by gunmen from a high school in Northwestern Nigeria. On Monday November 17th 25 schoolgirls were abducted from a boarding school in Kebbi state. Along with the 25 girls there was at least one staffer killed. This comes as Nigeria is facing a rise an uprise in kidnappings for ransoms. Some of which have been high-profile abductions across Nigeria northern region. ABC News
13. After 50 years two pen pals meet. Pen pals Carolyn Evans and Connie McNiel have developed a friendship over 50 years of being pen pals but they had never meet until now. Their story began in `1975 when Evans saw a television commercial encouraging kinds to send in information and be matched with a pen pal. McNiel's 5th grade class was one of the classes that put out the ad. McNeil sent two letters but only Evans responded. Their friendship blossomed from their and grew over the years. They decided that they would finally meet on their 50th friendship anniversary. The two say that they look forward to more trips together in the future. ABC7 New York
14. A Construction company in Sacramento has created a game of where's Waldo for young hospital patients. The construction company has started hiding a life-sized Waldo for young patients at a hospital to find every day from their windows. The McCarthy Building companies team who was inspired by another construction crew decided they had the perfect opportunity to spread some joy while working on the Davis Health Medical Center California Tower. The project sits between Shriners Children's Hospital and UC Davis Children's hospital. Making it the perfect spot for a game of where's Waldo with windows from both hospitals facing toward the project. CBS Sacramento
15. New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd shot outside New York City Restaurant. Early Sunday morning New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot in the stomach outside a New York City restaurant. Supposedly shots were fired after a dispute that escalated and two shots were fired. A source within law enforcement told CNN that even though there have been no arrest yet there was two cars spotted on surveillance leaving a parking garage and then later pulled over and interacted with Boyd. Moments later shots were fired and the gunmen sped off in one of the vehicles. CNN
